A Non Blog...

Today we started to renovate the front section of fence. The temperature reached around 25 C today, so it was a hot one out front. There is really not much to write about except that it was hot, dirty, dusty and gratifying.

Neighbour Bert came over and helped Rod concrete in three Red Gum-wood posts that had rotted out after 60/70 years in the ground. Kind of nice seeing a rough old fence post turn into a piece of furniture-quality wood. They came up pretty nice, ready for the new rails. The cold drinks went down well after. And yes, we are having fun and a good time.

On Sunday, after church we walked down to the Maryborough Highland Society Clubhouse for a 60th Birthday party for neighbour Bert's wife. The society has has held a Highland Gathering here since 1857. Very nice facilities, that is a picture of Bert giving a toast to his wife, Mary. It was attended by about 70 friends and relatives. The procedure is you order and pay for your own lunch, Bert buys the drinks!

Sorry, Mary the picture of you did not turn out.

That is it folks, just another day in Australia for us. Two weeks and we leave for home.
