Last of the Leisure Days...

Tomorrow we hit the road for the 2300 K trip to Rod and Lyn's home in Maryborough, Victoria, where we hope to put to use our Canadian Carpentry skills.

Another beach day was in order first, the weather was again its pleasant 24 C. We could only take a few hours of paddling and sunbathing because of lack of shade. The surf is rather unpredictable, unlike Maui so we spent most of the time in the water trying to get up the courage to venture further out beyond the surf breaking zone. We never did!!!

We are well rested and ready to move on to new territory and looking forward to being in a home again.

Hard to believe but the highlight of the day may have been the scrabble game that the girls had while Rod and I were having a very serious nap. Lyn got a score of 453 after getting a seven letter word and then pluralized it on the triple. Total score for the game was over 800. [This will make sense only to scrabble players.]

Later we packed our cases and are ready to head south. We celebrated our last night in Noosa by going to the NYRC [Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club] for dinner. Dress code: No thongs, tank tops or swimmers! My $12.00 shorts and bush-man shirt outfit was in fine order.

A rather unexciting but restful day all in all
